The new Review app does a pretty slick job of getting comps on to your device. However I’m not convinced it beats the save comp to Dropbox, load to device via the Dropbox app. Ubiquity wins!

Bryan Rieger of Yiibu asked a number of awesome questions to my update on the mobile resource site. I responded to him and shared some of my thinking on the need for this resource.
To those who are curious about the Mobile Resource Site (I referred to here). I posted to the Mobile Web List yesterday, and I figured I should put it out to the larger group as well.
I have it built out and have it ready in the wings. The challenge now is the writing, researching and compiling of articles and resources. I have a lot of content already, I just need help getting it into the site.
The Kinect and its use of Infrared is fascinating technology. I can image when mobile devices start employing it.
I love dribbble and I would love to post some of my work to it… you know if it weren’t a gross violation of intellectual property laws and my code of ethics.
I think designers are walking a very dangerous line by posting client projects here. I’d recommend keeping it to just personal projects.

An awesome thread on the real costs of developing an iPhone application. The market is skewed towards fast and cheap development. While we are seeing the entire consumer app market is focused on quality. The math doesn’t add up.
For the last year I’ve been wondering, “if Android is selling as well as everyone says, then why don’t I see them?”
The area of mobile metrics and market reporting has always been a bit fishy and the constant Android reports reek of yesterday’s catch.
I tried to find a single qualified study to confirm the anecdotal growth of Android and failed. I was then given the link to this article which calls out some of the bad math than is going into Android’s growth.

A strong founding team with healthy market prospects yields a much greater likelihood for early funding. Funding and location are correlated.
