We’re in the midst of a period where people are questioning business models. It’s in these downturned times that new innovative businesses and ideas spring up. Recessions are a good time to “prototype”.
Very nice. Twitter’s IM support is really what finally hooked me on Twitter. Services like Excla.im is awesome, but lacks incoming messages. Looks like Adium will fix that.
Jaiku, a service that many felt was superior to Twitter, but killed by Google, is now open source. Running on Django and AppEngine, you can have your own microblogging community.

Very cool idea. An iPhone app that processes credit cards to Authorize.net or PayPal. Simple, to the point and perfect for the mobile context. I wish I had thought of this one.
