Did a New York couple really give $61,600 to McCain?

A normal white bread family that just happens to work for an oil company donated $61,600 to the McCain/GOP fund, a price out of reach for most middle income families.

…the couple is too “under-employed” to be making donations that large, the official said.

So either the family really wants McCain in office by donating over a years worth of middle class salary or something is rotten in Denmark.
